Local Outdoor Retailer Embraces Change With Updated Look

Dawsonville, GA: Outside World Outfitters, a leading outdoor retailer in Dawsonville, Georgia, announced their new brand Saturday, July 1st. The new Outside World Outfitters brand will outfit the company with a new look, including logo, outdoor signage, store renovation, and eventual lifestyle wear.


The decision to re-brand originated with a change in ownership in February of 2017. After operating under the old brand for fifteen years, management at Outside World Outfitters decided it was time for more diversity. The new brand is a celebration of their past while embracing the future. Their goal is to remain the same, customer-friendly store, while appealing to a larger audience on all levels. The updated look is aimed to stay current with the growing community around the store.

Of the re-brand, John H. Lee, owner of JCS Investments and Outside World Outfitters said, “We thought it was time for a new, fresh look that told a simple story of who we are. It has been an exciting process for our staff to get to work together on this project and we hope to convey that excitement to our customers.”

The trademarks of the store will remain in their large kayak and stand-up paddle board selection, as well as the Southeast’s only indoor wave pool. Additionally, Outside World Outfitters aims to add a wider selection of niche outdoor brands. These brands are typically harder for the outdoor enthusiast to find locally. The store will continue to offer a varied selection of clothing and gear for camping, hiking, and backpacking as well.

The brand will be unveiled in a month-long celebration beginning with the new website and logo, released Saturday. Following, Outside World Outfitters looks forward to a new sign outside at the front of the store, new brands, updated store media, and small store renovations. The biggest change to the store will be the Adventure Bar, a walk-up, interactive experience that hinges on customer education and experience. The re-brand process will culminate in the first ever Outside World Outfitters block party in August.

Outside World Outfitters’ hope is that the updated look will encourage new relationships with both current and new customers. They are excited to embrace change while continuing to serve the North Georgia community.
